First Prize Award!

Good Old USA by Gladys Jimenez

 Dear Beautiful Friends:

I'm thrilled to report that my artwork, shown above, won first place at the "All Mixed Up" art exhibit at the Escondido Municipal Art Gallery!

I so wanted to be at the reception to receive the award but unfortunately my dad was in a accident and I've been spending my days at the hospital, here in L. A.  It doesn't look good but I have faith that things will turn around. Thank you all of you who follow me on Facebook, and who have been praying for him and myself and family.

It will be a while before I can return to my normal activities, I plan to stay up here with my parents during these times.

April 9, 2016 EAP All Mixed Up Opening Reception

Gladys' collage artwork "Good Old USA" was juried into the Escondido Municipal Art Gallery All Mixed Up art show. Gladys was awarded first prize for this artwork. Juror: Terrence Sanders.

Opening reception is April 9, 2016 from 5:30-8:00pm. Light refreshments will be served.

Feminine Energy Power!

Artist's Self- Portrait, Mixed Media on canvas

Dear Beautiful Art Friends,

Happy to announce that my painting “Artist's Self-Portrait” was juried into The Power of Feminine Energy group show. Exhibition Curator: Leticia Gomez Franco.

I will be at the art reception at the Centro Cultural De La Raza, located at  2004 Park Blvd, San Diego, California 92101, on March 19, 2016. The reception starts at 6:00pm but due to the fact that I have another art reception on that same date I will be there from 8:0 to 10:00 pm.

Show will end April 3, 2016. Hope to see you there.
